Hello.

Can anyone help me with some good loads for my new rifle in 7mm rsaum.
Bullets I'm going to use are 168grs Berger VLD Hunting and 168grs Accubond long Range.
My Kimber 8400 have a new fluted Lilja barrel 1:9 and 26"long,Jard 19 oz trigger and new replacement carbon bolt knob.
And a new Basner high tech stock.

A friend and I shoot 180bergers in our 7saum rifles. Although the 168grain bullets perform well, I would recommend the 180grainers to you. Here's our load data....

COAL = 2.95
62grains Retumbo
Velocity: 2900 in 26" barrel

COAL = 3.085
66grains Retumbo
Velocity: 3000 in 28" barrel

With the 168grainers, you might be better served with H1000 or H4831

Then I get some 180grs Berger I will try.
The only bullets I have no is 168grs Accubond LR and 168 hrs Berger VLD.
Powder I have:MRP,N160,N560,N570,retumbo,H1000 and 4831

I know you do not have this powder, but I have gotten very good accuracy out of my Remington 700 in 7MM SAUM using IMR-7828 and both 168 and 180 Bergers. My most accurate load is 59.0 grains of IMR-7828,WLRM primers, in RP cases. This is not a max load by far but it shoots great in my gun.

Guess what I found in my man cave,1 box with IMR 7828 :)
You mention 59grs with IMR 7828.Is this load for 168grs or 180grs?
And that COAL?

Sorry I was not clear that the 59.0 load was with the 168 Grain Berger. My ogive was 2.270 however I did not measure the COL. I also used IMR-7828 with the 180 Berger. My powder charge was 56.5 grains for that load. I do not have the COL for that load at the moment. I have not measured the velocity of these two loads but both shot very well. Here is a couple of targets shot form my 700 Remington 700.

I like the looks of that. Do you have a pic of the whole rifle?

I've got a Model Seven in 7 SAUM using Magpro and 160 grain Accubonds. I love this caliber.
