Worked on the same thing yesterday. Kept throwing a flyer every third shot, but the load showed promise. It may work better in your rifle. VV550. Start out at about 26 grains and work up. I believe the book max was 27.5 grains. The VV550 worked very well with 50 grain vmax's, but had to use a long drop tube to pack enough powder in the case.
