6.5 Grendel

There is not much load data for Alliant powder for the Grendels. I called them and they only had data for RL15. And that is not to be found. I have some AR Comp on order to try. Interesting to see RL10X.

Do you find the ARComp to be a faster powder for the Grendel with the 123s ?
I've only used 8208 xbr and ARComp as a replacement for the Grendel and 123s, it is one of the few times I found a combination I liked and didn't mess with it. I've heard you can get higher velocities with some other powders, Leverevolution being one.

My best has been 8208 but curious about the ARComp

I run Accurate 2520 with 120 Nosler Spitzer and it make a 5-shoot cloverleaf hole and MV is just above 2500, I have found a load for the 8208XBR it seems almost Identical to the 2520. Oh and everything just drops like you turned the switch off.

This is why I use QL. If the powder is in the library I can calculate any combination whether published data exists or not.

I'm a little late to this thread, but H4895 also works great with 120 class bullets in the Grendel. I load 27.7gr H4895 (slightly above 'Max') and a Sierra 120gr Pro Hunter for my AR and the results at 100 yards are more than acceptable…

I'm about to give the Speer 90gr TNT a try with Benchmark and/or 8208 XBR and see what happens.
