What COL are you running?I am trying to build load for my Rugger 338win mag using barns 210 ttsx imr 4350 power and federal 215 primers the best group in can get is about 1 inch any thoughts
What COL are you running?
Have you tried loading 3 rounds at differing COL's, say .030", .040", .050" & .060" from the lands?
Have you tried the OCW method with your load?
There are many reasons that a certain load combination gets to a certain accuracy level then stagnates, maybe the powder is just not quite correct at that pressure level with that bullet, a change to a better suited powder may help. Your rifle may not like solid copper bullets, but 1" groups are nothing to sneeze at.
I always recommend RE19 with the 338 straight up, it's given the best results in every 338 I've loaded for.
Hope this helps.
Cheers.
