Yup.....as for PUTTING IT RIGHT....to back up what I said too....I've detonated the heart too many times and had them still go 50 + yards...they just don't seem to transfer the energy ( shock value) needed for DRT....one needs to consider......Why have 30-30's been SO effective at dropping Deer in their tracks for over 130 years? It was a question I considered after shooting 50+ Whitetail and another 30+ Mule Deer with my 300 Bee and not getting the results of my .308 or even .243 or when I was 13-16 a 30-30 Marlin...Bigger faster isn't always better! That's true I agree it doesn't matter size or speed of a bullet put it right they don't go far not making fun but just to back what u said I shot a deer years back with a 750 grain amax out of 50 bmg it ran bout 75 yards with no heart or lungs
X2! It's all personal choice. But my 300 bee is still my number 1 go to in North America...just needs to be loaded right to match the game! You don't drive a Volkswagen...in the Grand Nationals! There is always to be a faster 30 caliber. There are a couple faster than the rum. Just buy the one you like. I have 2 300 Win and 5 300 WBY. 0 rum. Guess which one I like?
Nicely put. I have a different load for each one of mine. I took two to Africa.X2! It's all personal choice. But my 300 bee is still my number 1 go to in North America...just needs to be loaded right to match the game! You don't drive a Volkswagen...in the Grand Nationals!
My most accurate load in my 12 twist 300 WBY is not considered safe these days. It was in the 1985 manual as most accurate load for 189 grainGo back to the early manuals from the 50-60's and see the differences between then and now !!!
You have all the good powders for it...pick two...my choice 7828 and rl 25....load 5 of each....test drive em! And I would start with a 250 gr. Bullet of choice...your question wasn't directed to me....but I shoot 338 lapua out of a Weatherby Tac Mark, 300 Weatherby Mark V, 378 Weatherby Mark V, and 460WBY Mark V....so I know a little Something about them
Wish I could get some data off the older manualMy most accurate load in my 12 twist 300 WBY is not considered safe these days. It was in the 1985 manual as most accurate load for 189 grain
What do you need? I still have the 1987 Lyman. But I talked to powder manufacurers and was told to follow the newer manualsWish I could get some data off the older manual

Its funny, but the guy who sold it to me gave me 6 boxes of loaded ammo, one of the was 110 grain bullets. That was a few decades ago, did't have a chrono, no idea how fast the shot.My 13 twist 300 Why does great with 175otm at 3050fps. Nice mild load that is even more awesome with suppressor. Decent BC and accuracy.
Also....lol....and isn't that a TON of paperwork!!!Nicely put. I have a different load for each one of mine. I took two to Africa.
