300 SMK expansion and performance on game??

Could you give me a little more info about your 300 RUMs that weight 9 lbs scoped; action, barrel length and contour. For the size game I'm after 308 is enough caliber. A 9-10 lb 300 RUM shooting a 0.9+ BC at 3000+fps would be a hell of a hunting rifle. I think all the pieces are in place to do that except an accurate 0.9 BC bullet that performs on game. We should be hearing soon how the 220 Henson performs.

Just for my $.02, I just can't fault the 300 SMK for anything. I have taken game from 300 to stupid distances with them. Never have I had an issue with them. The key issue for me is the ability to place them exactly where I want them and in conditions the 300 SMK allows that better than the rest for me. I am however patiently waiting for the 300 gr. Berger to show up for testing.
