So with all of this China sickness going around and it all you hear on TV show me your trophies you have taken with your 270 wsm and what bullet your using

Mine was a sako 75 Finnlight 270wsm. I shot 140 accubonds and rl17. Killed a bear, dozens of coyotes 3 bobcats and roughly 200 white tails, and a lot of steel. I loved that rifle. Only problem is I shot it way too much and after 4 years I could no longer get better than MOA out of the barrel. CRF and action prohibits chasing the lands... ~1400 rounds loaded hot with way to long of strings for such a skinny barrel. I have learned my lesson. I rebarreled with a krieger to a 7wsm and put it in a mcmillan stock. It is still my favorite rifle but I will Most likely be buying another Finnlight 270wsm soon.

Nice setup I'm looking at building a 270wsm whenever I get a chance. How do you like the 7wsm compared to 270wsm. I've never been a great fan of the .284 bullets but I like the looks of the 270wsm in literature any how.

Looks like a heavy barreled version of my .270 WSM 85 finnlight.

I like the 7wsm more than the 270 wsm just for the amount of high BC hunting bullet options.

It's a krieger #5 on a sako 75 Finnlight action in a mcmillan varmint. Very odd that we picked the same camo patterns.

I have an A7 rough tech pro as well in 30-06. Excellent rifle.

as well as a 300win AV Deluxe. In all honesty the 300 is prettier than my pre 64 m70 in 264 win.

Kimber 8400 Montana from Nevada mulies dinner with a zeiss conquest v4. Nothing pretty about it, it is green, I have drilled holes and bedded flush cups for sling studs and a 3" pic rail for the bipod. I devcon bedded it from the tang to the recoil lug and am shooting 117g Hammer Hunters at a pretty comfortable 3280 FPS. Both from 2019.

I have a load for 140 accubonds as well, at about 3100 FPS, but I wanted to try copper. The factory 1:10 twist prevents me from using the highest BC bullets. My max range is 550-600 but I am very confident to that distance with this rifle. Neither of these shots were over 300 yards tough, antelope 260-275 and the deer was 180.

The picture of this rifle is my Current 270 wsm which is Borden action , McMillan game hunter and I'm shooting berger 130 classic hunter at 3260 FPS and this pic of the group was 3.25" at 650 yards.
I've had Six 270 wsm and these are some of my animals I've killed with the various 270 wsm

my 270 wsm is a Savage American Classic md/14,lucked into it used but like new , she sports a 24 inch blued bbl. its been feed nothing but reloads and she excels on them, while not a Sako i'm thrilled with her performance and the Only thing that would Trump her would be a Fast twist bbl and 26 inch's at the least. Sorry no pix's,i'm pc/dumb, wanted to comment about the Sako 75 series I own, one so I fugger it be ok,anyway she's a ss/synthic md/75 /7MM/STW ,26 inch, but that's a different story bac to the 270wsm's mine best reload dotes on rl/25 ,w-w-b,& norma , cci/250 pri, and a 140 grain bullet ave fps 3160/3185 , 3/8 ….3 shots at 100 yds. side note my 270wsm also liked , Retumbo , Magpro,IMR/7977, also did a primer test with magnum primers and non/mag primers and the same powder charges , bac /bac same day cronographed they ended up 6 fps apart, (Winchester)brand...…... bullets weights didn't really matter 130's, 140's,150's she'll shoot them all Very well . the270wsm is Only limited by the trigger person's Knowledge or lack there of. It's truly underrated,Or were short of Real riflemen and Women in our Great Country. Just for the record I shoot normal 270 WCF also , its All/around Great but it lacks powder capacity to run with the 270 wsm. Beautiful pix's above LONG may the 270 WSM live , Cheer's

The Ram my friend used my rifle to kill it at 704 yards, 270 wsm with 165 matrix 3000fps
The buck I used the same rifle and bullets shot that at 30yards, and the elk I killed the bull at 420yards same rifle but different bullets 126 hammer hunters ar 3450fps. All one shot kills all went less then 20yards

I have clear up through 190 grain .277 bullets. using a 29 inch barrel. The my twist is kinda max at the 175's. don't tell me about .284 having the BC edge. I shot competitively with a 7STW.

That might be some of the most BS I've heard in a long time. Run the mass produced 27s and the mass produced 28s. It's no contest. The 28s have more high BC offering than the 26 cal too. I am here to tell you that In similar cases the 284 wins in every measurable category. 27 vs 28 nosler. 270 wsm vs 7wsm. 280 vs 270. The 27s lose in terminal and external ballistics. I love my 27s for hunting. But the twist rate is the down fall of the diameter and there's zero reason to handicap your self when both the 6.5s and 7s are better at LR.
