I have a 260 rem on the way and need to get some more brass. I have 100pcs of new Rem brass but I am reading a lot on the net that it is not so good? I know Nosler and Norma are making brass I know and a lot of guys are necking up the Lapua 243 brass.

I guess it would help to here any experences with the rem 260 brass?

If you have a 260 what are you useing?

Hi Icanhithimman

Go with the 243 win lapua and neck up. I have a 260 rem I built about 4 years ago and it is a great gun I have let my best friend use it and he made his longest kill with it right at 450yds. This gun shoots half inch groups all day long and I have reloaded some of my brass up to ten times I have only had 2 necks split so far.

I am using both Remington 260 brass and 243 Lapua necked up. I am happy with both. I am using the gun (a Remington Model 7 with a Hart barrel) as a hunting gun more than a target one so I use the Rem brass when I am loading hunting rounds and when I load for targets I use the Lapua.

If I were in you shoes I would try the Remington and see if you are pleased before spending the extra money for Lapua.

What do i use to neck up? Can i just run it through my 260 die? Are you getting any more powdwr cap? Im now shooting 50 grain of win. 760 with 100 gr. nosler bt and impressed with it. With the model 7 18 1/2" barrel im looking for all the velocity i can get.
Mike
