236gr .338 Hammer Hunter expansion test

The images posted of the phone book and the jug show a central hole with 5 holes circled around it. How did three sheared off petals make 5 holes in a near perfect circle around the core hole?

In the violent explosion 2 of the 5 pedals were lost...sorry

I would be happy to repeat the test with another 236gr hammer bullet with or without the wet phonebook in front. I just need to drink more milk....LOL

I normally don't start with a phone book in front but I was worried about the hammer penetrating all the way through my test media.

A good red neck test is one milk jug with about 2' of news paper behind it to stop the bullet. Doesn't matter if the paper is wet or not. Full expansion will take place in the one jug.

I haven't shot hammers out of anything "YET" but you have to admire the customer service! Even when the customer seems to be perfectly happy.

I agree. Sent them a email with questions this evening. Definitely after standard work hours and received a response from Steve within an hour! I definitely will be buying some of their bullets soon to try.
