long heavy barrel picture request

sucks they cant be honest about the BCs of their product .
from the pictures I seen accubonds may be a good hunting bullet but they break apart not like a amax or similar but still.

well I long how a rifle feels with a long barrel. Weight isn't a issue for me I used to do construction work and im still quite young . besides this rifle wont ever be used for stalking that's for sure. I like your rifle by the way I was thinking about a kdf style brake or similar the guy at kdf were courteous when I talked to them

As noted, many barrel company's will make longer barrels on request. I ordered a 34" barrel from Krieger for my 338 Lapua Improved.

got a picture of your lapua or is it still being built ? Going to chrono your loads im interested in what velocity you get . I did think about a modoified heavy palma contour where it steps down to 1.00" then it stays 1.00" to the muzzle instead of .900 but it would probably have more barrel whip than a cylinder barrel . plus id hate for them to make a mistake. I got ahold of pacnor they usually email me back soon

The vias break are nice I just don't care for them shooting Prone lots of dirt blown back in your face. I am going with a APA fat bastard for my new build. It was between it and the muscle break.

Krieger charges as I recall 10 per inch over 30"? I love Krieger barrel I have had three and every one has been a tack driver. Lasted well beyound what is considered acceptable barrel life and cleaned super easy. I went with Brux becuase it was in stock and I didnt have to wait 7 months to get the Krieger.

34 on a lupy improved should be good for north of 3100 FPS.

BTW If you wanna go .338 look at the .338 NM just as fast as the Lupy but can be loaded in standard mags with the 300 gr pills. That is if you are doing a custom action. Or do what I did and go .338 Edge.

I seen a trick with round muzzlebrakes for prone shooting where guys tote a water bottle and just wet the area of ground under the muzzle . I will look into a Krieger as well. im using rem 700 action .

can the 338 norma be used in rem 700 action ? the action was already setup in 300 rum so the feed rail should work with that case right ? just get a pgt bolt for a lapua blt face ?

I have a Rem 700 in 338 Norma Mag, just like you said I got a PTG bolt w/Lapua bolt face.
Haven't got it feeding from the mag yet but will try using a HS Precision detachable mag set up and modified 300 Win mag, hope it works out.

im pretty set on the 375 rum been wanting a 375 cal for sometime but not as big as the cheytac. want to keep rem 700 action for all the aftermarket goodies. I want to get a few different stocks. looking at the wyatt cfe9 box mag to I think I could get those 300gr ceb vlds to feed in it . jbm show that bullet at 3000 fps with 2000 ft lbs of energy at 1k.

Here is a 20 lb SA Rem 700 in 6mm-284 with #11 profile 30" Bartlein 5R SS barrel.

And a 30" #7 Lilja SS in 338 RCM with Russo stock. 14 lbs
