Hey guys, I am looking at building a custom rifle from the ground up, piece by piece. I want to base it off of a Remington m 700 action, so where can I buy one of these? And any suggestions for barrels, ect.. Are greatly appreciated. I want to go with a hart barrel, looking at building it in a 300 ultra mag. And once again, suggestions from all you out there are taken seriously! I want the most accurate rifle I can build.

Thanks!

Walmart....

Lol! Funny stuff haha. The reason I want a Remington action is you can get pretty much anything you want for one. I am only looking to spend about 2500-3000$ so...? What action do you reccomend?

What was funny? Most any place that sells guns sells 700s. I wouldn't pay anywhere close to $3000 for one you should be able to buy one for 10-15% of that.

Where do I need to put it? Didn't know where it should go.

Snipershide? :D

Now that was meant to be funny.

There is a general section here that might be more appropriate.

This is my first time posting in this section and I realize it is off topic. I realize because I read the thread at the top of the page about the intended use.

I am building a custom rifle and I just ordered a Stiller action, however Borden, Bat, actions are good also. They are all based on the Remington 700. There is a very good article at Accurate Shooter .com called Ordering a Custom Rifle; you might want to read that as there is a lot involved in building a Rifle.gun)
