Plse Help a MT. Wolf hunter out

So, the end of this week my hunting buddy and I are heading out again. Headed to MT. wolf areas 210, 310 or 320 to make another attempt at filling our wolf tags. Our last chance before calving season starts and we can't get away. We will be going toward the end of this week Jan 25th?? We would really appreciate any help location a pack we could pursue. We are both avid long range hunters and will respect property, or your personal huning locations. We are fully aware it is not an easy hunt, we will only have a couple days, any help will be greatly appreciated.

We are hoping to head out this weekend as well. Ive been trying to set something up. The people we have asked have said look for elk and the wolves should be close. If I can find anything or figure something out I will give you a shout.

Get ahold of the sheriff's office in Dillon for a start. They will know where there have been complaints. I used to know a warden there, Sarge Hoem, but not sure if he is still over there. The sheriff is Jay Hansen, the COP is John Gutcheck, used to work with him years ago.

A couple weeks ago a guy shot a wolf taking a leak on his yard tree, he wacked him with a 17 HMR of his porch. Two more got shot a couple miles away in cows, all within spitting distance from Lima. I don't think any counted to against the quota

We went out today but didnt see anything, going out again in the morning. Got another friend to go that really knows how to call tomorrow

I had a friend shoot one west of Missoula about 17 miles a couple weeks ago. I'm either going to try the area up where he got his or head over to 210 in the Phillipsburg area. I'd sure like to get one also. I plan on calling with coyote howls and predator calls.

Any luck Jeff? We went out today again, lots of people and no wolves. All the hippies by big sky were out in full force cross country skiing and hiking. No one had any smiles on their face when we came hiking out, lol. We saw some elk bedded and called but never saw anything else

Had to pospone our trip. A couple of my buddies 1st year heffers started calving and he had to stay home. So now the plan is for my son and I to go his next 2 days off. That will be a week from today. Meanwhile Iwill keep talking to people and try to find the best place for our last attempt.

Hey man, I've been calling in favors all over!! I've talked to Cory a few times lately and they haven't been down on him this year, working on Bensons tractor as we speak, talked to Husteds as well. No one is getting into them hard or seeing them, there is zero snow here, I can drive anywhere almost so they are higher than usual. A co workers friend popped one over the week end but they hiked way back in, man to be in college again and not have to make a living
I've called in a couple favors and got some keys to gates being the head John Deere tech in SW MT give me a little pull with ranchers
