Can someone point me in the right direction of a high quality set of rings and bases and what height, etc that I will need for the Sendero with an elite 6500 4.5-30x50? Seekins? Leupold? Thank you for your help.

Without a doubt you should look at Nightforce 20moa rail and either the steel medium rings or spend the same amount and get the ultralight medium height rings. I have yet to hear a bad thing about any nightforce gear. Thats what I have on my sendero. I went with the one piece rail. Some like the 2 piece rails. 20moa will get you well out past 1000 yards with a zero around 300 yards. I know a guy who put the 40moa rail on his gun and his zero is 750 yards and is shooting out to 2700 yards. Shop around, the best price you will bind the rail for is 115 and the rings are 152. you won't be sorry.

I've found the Burris Extreme Tactical rings to be a great value. They're very light but very beefy aluminum rings. Upon seeing them the first time, a favorite gunsmith of mine quoted, "You'll enjoy considerable scope failure before these rings quit on you.". I agree. However, I don't know of any such value when it comes to 20MOA rails. I have a Seekins and love it.

I ended up going with a Sightron SIII 8-32x56 and Leupold mark 4 rings and bases from Libertyoptics.com. Scott at libertyoptics was extremely helpful and put up with me asking a bunch of questions. He steered me away from the 6500 because of some clarity issues on higher magnification and Bushnells poor customer service. I think I'm going to be very happy with this setup.

The sightron scopes are very good and their warranty are suppose to be some of the best in the industry. I have two, 4-16 and 6-24, they are both in the mildot reticle. If and when I can afford another gun I want to put the 8-32 sightron on it.

is this a carry gun or a point gun?

It's going to be my whitetail deer gun right now. Here in southeast Missouri where I'm at it's farm country (flat, long way between obstructions). So this gun should help me harvest deer from a much greater distance. If I ever get the chance to go on a bear hunt I will use it for that as well.
