In The Quest for a Bargin!

I guess I'm just wondering outloud, or , maybe, my thinking is just archaic. Seems in many different theads on many different forums you can read of any number of folks ready and willing to jump on to a rediculously low priced major component for that new custom rig that will definitaly be a 600yd.+++ shooter. Now, I'm always interested in a good 'buy', and, can 'pinch' those pennies as well as anyone , but , I guess I've been 'stung' enough times those "too good to be true" deals aren't quit as appealing as they once were. I guess what I have earned has always been 'the hard way', there sure have been times it felt like it! When it comes to most things, if I cann't afford those known components, from known sources, I'll save my pennies until I can. That other Irishman (Murphy of "Murphys' Law") follows me around some days, I think. Just something that's been rolling around my empty ol' head for awhile now.

Im with ya I save until I get what I want if I dont it just cost me more in the long run. If I find a good deal however I jump on it if its from some one I can trust. I use post count on here and ask other guys.

One example is the action I built my 300 win mag on it was a HOWA and I got it from Jim Borden for 150 bucks.
