Berger Brass Question???

Does the 6.5 Creedmoor brass have the small primers? That should be a good pointer towards it being Lapua headstamped for Berger.

Back in June I picked up 250 pcs of Norma 6.5 Creedmoor stamped Prime for $115. Just checked and it's all gone. Prime is known for their match ammo and is currently in litigation with their supplyer.

I shoot Norma for the most part in 300WM. The ABM 300 WM brass I have matches up in every respect I have checked (except head stamp). I load it interchangeably with my Norma brass and can't tell any difference over the chronograph or on paper.

This is correct. The ABM 300 WM was Norma with an ABM headstamp. The Berger factory ammunition in 300 WM is marked Norma. The Lapua 300 WM brass is Norma as well. Although several have claimed that the Lapua stamped belted mags have a different brass make up that makes them more durable. I can't validate those claims. I've tried several different Norma cases with varying headstamps, including Lapua, and it has all performed the same across the board. A few I know of made by Norma in the 300 WM are Norma, Nosler, Lapua, and ABM. Basically, if the brass weighs ~215 grains, it's fairly certain that it was made by Norma.

It's all done now. Prime started producing Ammo with Peterson brass and it is being manufactured here. As soon as they put it out RUAG was on the phone with them with an offer to settle and stay in business with them.

Usually brass is left at the range for a reason.

Other than the obvious reason of your post...that they leave it because it's junk...I'm missing any real usefulNess in it.

I guess GunWerks brass (Lupua) is junk too?

There are two guys who hit the range I shoot at that shoot their rifle with their loaded ammo. I scoop up all the their brass every time I see them. 6.5x284 brass is tough to come by at the range I shoot at.

There is also a guy who leaves his 7mm LRM brass. I been picking it up too.

I will have to check...it seems it did, but I might be thinking about some other Lapua brass I've found.

Any way I never seen the boxes they originally came in. I'm sure they were in the trash can near the bench. I didn't realize it was stamped Berger until I got home.

There are a ton of guys who don't reload at the range I shoot at. On any given day you will only see one or two guys out of 10 at the 100 yard line who reload. It would be fair to say only 50% reload between 200 and 400 yards. Then the guys at the 600 yard benches are in the 90% range. But I still pick up a bunch of 6.5 Creedmoor and 6.5 Grendel brass at the 600yd line.
