How many gearheads on LRH ?

View attachment 139237 View attachment 139236 Have a Z06 under the garage and Grew up around old cars. dad had a 70 SS Chevelle and a 34 3 window. In the process of building a 69 camaro (been in the process for awhile now) and have a 23 T in the shop. Before I had my young son we went to street rod nationals in Louisville every year.
That new tech power is pretty amazing, ain't it . A used 7th gen zo6 has to be the best bargain in a modern super car out there right now . Like that 69 Camaro too. Looks like its headed down a similar road as my 72 Camaro . Restomod or protouring type build. I wanted to go the protouring route on the 72 and take it to a couple Optima events, but the sport outran my wallet before I could get done with it. Its isn't a quarter million dollar machine, but it does everything much better than GMs engineers had in mind back in 72. 13" discs all around , coil overs all around, and sick LS power . I havent dynoed it yet and have to iron out the tune and knock ******/boost ******, but it should make around 700hp at the rear wheels with a tune that will live on pump gas and meth injection.

Not a true gearhead, love old cars and trucks though. I have an 84 CJ7 sitting in the shop waiting for a rebuild. Medical Bill's and a couple other life happens moments has put it on the back burner for awhile. I'm hoping to have the funds back to work on it this winter.

The 258 engine has been rebuilt bored .060 over, set up with a cam for EFI, and a 4.0L head. I have a Painless wiring harness and a Performance Fuel Injection system ready to go back in. Just need to get a new intake, headers, and an AX15 transmission found and I can put the drive train back together.
My wife has wanted a jeep CJ for a long time. I planned to build her one, but like you, life happens . My back and neck have decided my vehicle building days are behind me . Contemplating a multi level back surgery now, but my track record with neck/back surgeries are batting a goose egg so far. I'm hesitant to let them cut on me anymore. Still, if they can get me patched up so I can start living again, it would be amazing. Just not sure what to do yet.

I'm working again, and living pretty well. My ankle will never be 100% again now that it is fused. The 60K in medical Bill's has been kicking my butt for awhile, just need to make them go away and I'll get back on track.

I'll pray you find the right answers soon for your back.

I'm in. 51 years old and been in the family body shop since. I do cars everyday and my reloading bench is my haven from cars!
My reloading bench is my substitute for my car building addiction. My back and neck are much more forgiving of the reloading hobby !

That's much appreciated, duck.

I've seen a couple first gen csmaros sitting on blazer frames, but that's the first early mustang I've seen with the treatment. Trunk ain't big enough in a pony car. Somebody needs to do a 64 impala on a 4x4 frame ! Now that's something you could haul some hunting gear in :)

Don't wrench as much as I used to. Starting to do more now that we have settled into our new place. I have had this car for 22years and hoping to have it back together soon.

Will sure be nice to take the misses on a date in something that doesn't have car seats in the back.

What year is the T/A ? I think the 70-73 trans am is probably the best looking car to come from the muscle car era , period. The satin paint is a perfect fit too .
