Oh yes - grew up hunting Deer in Southern Oregon (mid 50's - early 60's) - with a Model 94 Winchester in .32 Special. Dad carried the .06. The .32 was great for our timber/brush - 100 yards shots were about the max - and it did fine with an old 4x fixed Weaver scope. But had younger eyes then too. Learned to shoot with a pump Benjamin Pellet gun - shooting at orange juice lids tacked onto the fence posts. Served me well enough to make the rifle team at the Air Force Academy (mid 60's) - but haven't shot competitively since then. Can still find the X ring when needed tho.
