[QUOTE="cummins cowboy, post: 1456841, member: 28348"] have you looked at both scopes back to back? how are you so sure the v6 is all that and a back of chips? because its not. grab both scopes a 3-18 and a 4-16, you will immediately notice the tunneling or loss of apparent FOV with the v6. the v4 goes right to the outter edge. the v4 gives the image and FOV on 4x of a 2x or 2.5 scope on low power. just because the glass is schott is just a name, what if the japanese glass is pretty much as good but just doesn't have the same name? there is more to a scope than glass. the total optical triangle, eye relieve, FOV, glass quality. I noticed the difference in a trade show in feburary, looked at the same scopes back to back in cabelas last weekedend, same result. I will take the v4 all day long over the v6. I would have bought a v4 already but the 3-12 is the better fit but that scope only comes in 56mm and boring reticles and capped turrets. but that 4-16 has a view that just jump out at me so much I may just be willing to deal with 4x as being the lowest power.
