[QUOTE="Browninglover1, post: 498762, member: 29966"] I too have an X Bolt Composite Stalker in 300 WSM and it's a shooter! It will consistently put 5 shots into 3/4 of an inch at 100 yards and I'm sure it could do better than that if I didn't have problems holding her rock solid. When I shoot from the bench the narrow fore-end and the lack of weight in the gun make it hard for me to hold as steady as my varmint rifles, but I bought her to hunt high country deer and elk and honestly for a factory rifle at around 700 bucks I don't think there is a better one out there. I love the swelled palm (only for right handed shooters) and the trigger-while not super light-feels awesome at 3 pounds. Like bs911 said there is basically no aftermarket for them, but I bought mine because I liked the way it felt right out of the box and it's shot well enough I don't have any desire to change anything. The only modification I had to make was to grind a little bit out of the front of the magazine so that my 185 grain Bergers would fit in the magazine without getting stuck. Also the recoil pad seriously takes the felt recoil down immensely and I have no problem putting 30-40 rounds through it in one range session. If you want the ability to customize your rifles then I'd stay away from Brownings in general because there are so many cheaper options if you shoot Remington or Savage, but I've bought a few Brownings (A Bolt, X Bolt, T Bolt, and a BL 22) simply because they felt like I wanted them to for their intended purpose and they've all shot great.
