[QUOTE="Alibiiv, post: 2724821, member: 69192"] Would you provide a little more information on this wildcat cartridge that you’d like to build. What do you intend to use this wildcat cartridge for (hunting/target/long-range), distance being you plan to shoot? What caliber interests you? What are your reloading capabilities? What does your budget look like? There are a lot of variables that go into building a wildcat cartridge. There ought to be a lot of research put into a wildcat build as well. Comparing ballistics with factory/SAAMI cartridges included. For me it doesn’t make sense to build a wildcat cartridge only to find that there’s a SAAMI cartridge that is very close to the wildcat cartridge. In today’s market with the heavy for caliber bullets on the market, barrel twist is another variable that one ought to consider when doing the build. You will find a lot of good information on this forum and a lot of good folks who will help steer you in the right direction; but…it’s important that you know what you intend to use this rifle for. As for copper bullets there’s more options out there than anyone could imagine!! Again you have to do your research before you can decide what to build. Also keep in mind the expense/s involved in equipment to help reloading this wildcat cartridge; a good press, trimmer, neck turner, annealing process, COAL measuring equipment to name a few pieces of equipment.
