Most have dropped in tracks, my elk was 4 something it dropped but i put another one in it at close range to finish off. However i shot jugs no groups out to 600 and bullet worked good. At 1060 where we start shooting jugs with the edge it would not carry good, so some point from 6-1k i would not reccomend. Im old school on a lot and dont worry about the big exit holes, i like the fragmentation and it worked well on kills. I tried the swift scorr. last fall from the 25-285 and at 590 recovered a 100 grain bullet from a milk jug and weighed it at 93 grains. It was all in tack picture perfect at what the pics shown it at that vel. and yardage. Only thing you have that small hole with more fragmentation im thinking maybe a piece might hit the heart or other vitals helping the kill. The sierra has done some nasty damgae in side and caused loss of shoulders at times but im not there for the meat, like the fast kill.

Mike
No havent shot anything factory since i was a teen. Im a 25 man with many: 257 whby, 25x284, 250 Ai, and 25 Bobcat ( 270 Wsm necked to 25 ). For the whby i havent used in few years my last load was 73 grains IMR 7828 100 sierra bt around 3700. I used the same bullet in the 25x 284 3450 and the 25 Bobcat 3650. Over the years i have taken many, many whitetail from 15 yards -over 400 plus. The sierra has done some nasty damgae in side and caused loss of shoulders at times but im not there for the meat, like the fast kill. Mike
