I had a resent post below on how to get to 1000yards with an old Remington ADL 700 30-06 action. It looks like the consistent results was 284 Winchester or 284 Shehane. I'm just curious on why i shouldn't go with the .280? wouldn't performance of the 284s be similar to the 280? Can i re-use 30-06 brass for the .280? If i went with the 284 i will need new brass and the shehane will add additional steps in the reloading process?
