I use a 100 yard zero and verify my drops from there. I do this with all my guns except my kids' guns where I uses a 200 yard zero. They'll not shoot much pass 250 here in SC and by having a 200 yard zero they don't have to worry about dialing the scope. On my 100yd zeroed scopes if I'm likely hunting where I know the shot will be 150-250yds I'll just pre dial to 200yds when I get in the stand. I like to long range shoot/practice with theses guns as well so using the ballistic apps with a 100 yard zero is more practical and less room for error. There seems to be more environmental factors that come into pay with a further zero than 100 yds.
