You can do it with only half a turn of the barrel and it will put your old chamber designation under the wood and you restamp the barrel with the proper cartridge. This moves the barrel back so little you won't even notice the stock fit. Besides it makes for less work when you free float your barrel. Glad you got it figured out. Good luck with it.
