Sitting here sizing, deburring & chamfering 100 pcs of brand new 30-378 Wby brass so I can load them up for a friends rifle, as I read the entire thread, lots of opinions , some make sense, some goofy and others are plain nuts, like the 7mm is better than 30 cal bs, lol,,,,, NOT & never, where do you come up with this stuff ? lmao The recoil shy guys are inadvertently exposing their own weakness publicly and not the cartridges faults ......... Have the 300 Wby, 340 Wby and 30-378 Wby ... out of those three I prefer the 340 Wby , why ? because I have it in an original super sexy Sako TRGS m995 and it does everything the super glamorous 338 Lapua can and the 338 RUM out of all the 30 cals on the planet the 7.82 Warbird is the KING and has not been dethroned ..... Lots of haters on that one but with the advent of all these high bc 30 cal heavies... it makes the most sense, can build it on the Rem 700 and make the high bc bullets fly like they should ... fast have three 300 Win Mags but feel this current shortage of ammo/components would be a good time for manufacturers to make it finally go obsolete and just make more 300 WSM ammo, everybody wins....... screw the 300 PRC , nuff said Out of all the factory 30's the 300 RUM is the best of the bunch, and I'm talking sheer performance here and not the fluffy bs some drag up, fluff like recoil, can buy ammo in eskimo village, snipers used it 700 years ago, eleventy million deer kills with 30-30 in America ..... etc, etc.... Long Range Hunting requires high velocity, high bc bullets and a highly trained monkey... everything else is fluff (read -bs)
