Well then maybe I should go with a LA? What length did you trim your brass and where did you seat the base of your bulet in relation to the neck and shoulder? I do remember your son's friend but don't recall her shooting the 6mm. I would have been tickled to send a couple of rounds down range and BTW it was cool shooting the Lapua and and 300 WM :) So why did you rechamber from the 6-284 to the 6BR? Was it the overbore? More finicky? I'm planning on having this barrel nitrided if it works well on one or two other barrels. So far 2 votes for the SMK's I'm considering the SMK's. Bergers, A-Max and Nosler's in the 105-107 range with an 8 twist barrel. I'm a speed freak but accuracy is #1 with me, but I will sacrifice a very little accuracy for a good bit of velocity because I think velocity will buy you some forgiveness and flexibility in the field. I'll probably go with a Broughton 5C but nothing set in stone. there are a lot of good barrel makers out there and I get the feeling that they are so close, most of the time it depends on the particular tube and the maintence cycle of the equipment being used. 3000 fps sounds real fast for that chamber... how long was the barrel/ Thanks Guys! Much appreciated! :)
