We started the day with additional Antelope doe tags in a area south of Cody Wy. I have had a Savage rifle custom barreled in .260 for my other half, and was anxious to see how it would work for her. She did not let me down, out the pickup door packing our 2 year old grandaughter we went after the does, she slapped the mag in, chambered a round loaded with the Hornady bullets, got comfortable and dropped the hammer on a older dry doe. It ran about 60 yards with blood coming out the boiler-maker to fall over dead, she then never missed a beat, swung around, chambered another round, and the #2 doe was dead where she stood! Dang, that is the highlight of my hunting life. It all happened at her pace and her terms! My best hunting partner! Ashley, I am so proud of you!
