Well I was taking a few pictures for the gun porn thread this evening and decided to take some of this set up. Number one is my "ambush spot" where I hope to eventually get a shot at my 7 point. The dark spot in the middle of the gate is a young 3x3 Six point. It was getting late and low light so sorry about the quality. I took it through my scope which reduces the quality even more. I also had the scope dialed up to 24x which doesn't help with the low light. Number two is the view from beside the scope down range. If you can see the grass that runs about mid picture from left to right and the rocks in the middle of it, the BC died just to the right of that line of rocks which is the tank dam. Number three is my fancy LR shooting platform; a 350gallon water jug in the back of the truck HA! The little buck kept acting like someone else was coming so I was pretty stoked thinking maybe my buck was going to pop out. Unfortunately it eventually turned out only to be a coyote. He died a few minutes later just to the right of the right gate post dead man just on the other side of the fence. It was hilarious because he and the little buck had been going around in circles testing each other for about five minutes when the yote exploded... . Little buck lit out like his own head had exploded and then had to come back and check out the damage to see what had happened. I was shooting directly into about 15mph north wind so I doubt he ever heard the shot. Oh from this vantage point the gate is 692yds.
