[QUOTE="Newbweatherby, post: 1201084, member: 96297"] Hi all this is my first post here I've lurked her in the past but when I saw the diamondback HP post I had to chime in. I have a fixed and limited income so it to better part of 30 plus years I have wanted a better scope .i had a pre leoupold redfield from.'94 that was the only scope pm that held up,I had chea per bushnell and Simmons etc but they never held up ie the reticle breaking and once the other the other objective lens flew out of after a few shots ,so I kept the old Redfeild 3x9 on which had no eye relief the opfics sucked eye relief was perilously. Close the optics well they were lacking as well low light performance was no light .,For the longest time I thought I wanted a nikon prostaff 4x12 because it's claimed 98% light transmission and I was Seton getting it untill the salesman asked if I jad looked at the Ch ortex diamond back which I had looked through before and I wasnt interested in it but then he said they had the new HP line,so I half heartedly looked through the scope all I could say was wow !!!Being that I am on a fixed income I had to save sell to get this scope on layaway and on my birthday my sone surprised me and paid off my remaining balance I owed on this scope ,I have since mounted and put over 50 rounds of full loads ammo through and the extra eye relief is great ,the brightness and clarity is amazing. Well thank you for letting me ramble I think I am intimidated by the higher quality rigs most of the members of this forum have, all lights I have is a Ruger M77 in 270 win and my trusty remington 700 in 300 Weatherby all stock other than me free floating the barrels, aucuglassing from the actions to the recoil lugs and lapping the scope rings as that's all I can really afford to do.Thanks for having enough and I can't wait to starting reading more into the foruma.
