So I used my 22-250 ack 80gr nosler J4 at 3400 FPS and I killed 7 deer with it , including my longest shot ever at a whitetail at 700 yards. Out to 500 yrds the 80 grains but baseball sized holes in deer and always passed through. After 500 they lost their edge. Not enough speed or retained energy. I mostly use all big guns for deer hunting know 7wsm and 30-338 laupa imp, but the best shots I ever made and most sucessful year ever was with 22-250 ack. On a side note I am probably going to buy a dasher reamer so if you want to give one a try I loan you the reamer.
