I read it and thought why not give it a try, I back by action screws out and started at 15 in lbs, not a lot I know but I had to start somewhere, groups were garbage still. Tightened up the action screw in front 5 inlb increments and worked with the tightest load I'd had so far for testing just to see what it did. I called the manufacturer before applying the torque and they said 40inlb max but they can handle more, they wouldnt give me a spec on more lol. Anyways I would have never believed anyone that torque tuning would make a 2" group at 100 yards come down to 1/2" but after seeing it with my own eyes I'm a believer now.
I had a similar situation and tried every load in the book but couldn't get a group. Went through 3 different scopes as well trying to figure it out, all scopes were high end off of other guns but I was beating my head off the wall that bad! Lol, anyways I found an unrelated article about torque tuning the stock on a savage forum. Well when I hit the 40 inlb mark I started seeing a vast improvement, 48inlb and it was doing a world of difference better. Moved to the back screw and in 5 inlb increments did the samething. Dont know if this will help or not but maybe give it a try!
