That is a good one! :) B Zone. I hunted, I think it was X1 (Modoc County) with my parents like 20 years ago but have not been back up there since. I got that life time hunting licence so I have now started putting in for more draws. At current I a trying to get into that M11 late season Muzzle Loader hunt in the B zones. We usually hunt west of Red Bluff and that is hot dry lots of walking type hunting where most of the deer you see are becuase you kicked them out of thier beds. We had scouted this area of Trinity two years ago when one of my buddies got drawn for elk up there. While he was hunting up there for elk he saw a bunch of deer and started telling us that we should there for deer. We are use to really hiking and putting in the miles, but this was first morning I hunted and we had only walked about a mile. I am sold on the area am planning to go back up there next year. I saw one guy pull a 24" wide 6x4 out of there that he took at 610 yards. I am thinking there is some good potential for some really long shots across some of the burns in that area. If we are heading up there you are more than welcome to tag along. The only issue with the area is it is about 3 hours to the past the drive to the standard hunting area. It makes it harder to pull off a weekend going there. You almost need at least four days to make the trip worth wild. Unless you shoot and nice deer the first morning. :)
