I went to a gun show here in New Bern, NC yesterday and left frustrated. Powder and primers went up, but only about $2 (surprisingly) which was reasonable after reading some of the earlier posts. What ****ed me off was the prices the dealers were asking for the AR's. One vendor said his AR was on sale for $2100, marked down from $2400! I told him 6 months ago the same AR was on sale for $800. Pretty much said supply & demand....and people were buying them! I usually go to the smaller gun store by my house and pay a couple bucks more for the items because it supports the local guys. However, this is ridiculous! I didn't argue with the guy and didn't make a scene because it's a business and people were still buying at these outrageous prices so that's his right. What get's me ****ed was that these same guys were the ones in the gun shop bitching that oil companies were price gouging every time a hurrican comes through here and gas goes up 50 cents! Oh well, I guess I'll stop supporting them and go back to ordering online where it's cheaper anyway. I'll get off my soap box now
