It is very accurate with that load but will not run with my better 30 Noslers. My newest 30 Nosler is the fastest I have build but the accuracy is lower so it is a mute point. For a custom build I will stick with the 30 Nosler. If I could buy a 300 PRC with a .5 moa guarantee with factory ammo it would be much more appealing.
Nice bull, Brandon. Was that with a Ridgeline? So what I am hearing is all centered around factory rifles/ammo? Just want to be clear. The factory 30 Nosler in SAAMI form has almost the perfect freebore for the 215 Berger which has proven and continues to prove to be a great killer and most are 10 twist which also works great. I personally have played with 225s and 230s in faster twist barrels and I keep coming back to the 215. If you are building a rifle you do not need a custom reamer to throat the 30 Nosler the way you want and you can order any twist you want. When I built my PRC I was praying it would shoot one of the factory ammos. It hated both. The only bullet mine would shoot is the Berger 230.
