The release catch is located on the bottom rear of the mag right in front of the trigger guard and it is easy to bump and lose your mag. I got mine in the early 90's at the Tulsa gun show for $190 and went a couple of isles over and got a new mag for $10. Around here 788's typically now go for $300-400. I would love to find a .223 (or .222) cheap. Those calibers typically shoot incredible with nothing other than a trigger job.</p><p>The 30BR single shot sounds neat.
