My Thompson Center Dimension 7-Caliber, 2-Rifle collection:
I have a Thompson Center Dimension 7-Caliber, Rifle collection for sale, consisting of:
(All the barrels I have are 22" long with 5R rifling.)
(1)...223 Remington...is currently shooting groups of .2271"/.1959"/.2236"...non-threaded.
(2)...204 Ruger...is currently shooting groups of .1798"/.2163"/.2241"...non-threaded.
2 bolts:
(1)..."A" bolt for the 2 "A" family calibers of...'223'/'204'.

Understanding the Dimension interchangeable barrel concept:
To those of you not familiar (and I wasn't at first) with the TC Dimension concept, I'll explain it in AR-15 terms:
AR'-15s have a upper and lower receiver...one receiver can couple with many different uppers/calibers.
However, within each upper, the caliber/barrel being used needs to have the same caliber/barrel bolt head to work.
Some bolt heads will work with different calibers/barrels...a 223 bolt head will shoot a 223/300 Blackout/277 Wolverine/6x45/25x45 Sharps, etc.
The Dimension has different barrels (uppers) coupled with one chassis (receiver).
You match up the barrel with the proper bolt head (or 'bolt' in this case)...but the receiver stays the same.
Example-#1...to go from shooting the 223 to the 204, just change the barrel...the "A" bolt shoots both calibers.
Example-#2...to go from shooting the 223 to the 243, change the barrel...and install...the "B" bolt.
Example-#3...to go from shooting the 243 to the 6.5CM, just change the barrel...the "B" bolt shoots both calibers.
All you need to add is a scope and sight it in. (My scope is MOA, with 1/4" clicks at 100 yards.)
Hint...you can use the same scope for each caliber:
The scope stays with the Dimension receiver/chassis (unlike the AR, where the scope stays with the AR's upper, not the lower).
FIRST...I picked the 243 in order to set a baseline for scope adjustments. I then developed a load, shot it for groups, and then sighted it in to the the POI I wanted. I then removed both of the scope turret caps and replaced them back on the scope at the "0" & "0" coordinates. Now anytime I wanted to return and shoot the 243 again, I knew where to set my scope..."0" & "0".
NEXT...I picked the 204 Ruger. I then developed a load, shot for groups and then sighted it in to the the POI I wanted. Do not reset the scope turrets to "0" & "0"...just jot down how many clicks the scope changed...use these settings whenever you shoot the 204 again. (My 204 Ruger shoots "11" clicks down from "0" and "10" clicks right from "0".
NEXT...I picked the 22-250. It shoots "6" clicks up from "0" and "21" clicks to the left from "0".
NEXT...the 223..."1"click down from "0" and "5" clicks left of "0".
NEXT...the 6.5CM..."17" clicks up from "0" and "23" clicks left of "0".
IN THEORY...(I won't bet a nickel against it)...all you would need to do is mount up the 243 barrel, scope it, sight it in for POI (the load development is already done for you) and reset both your scope turrets to "0". Switch out the barrel to the 22-50, move your scope setting "6" clicks up from "0" and "21" clicks left of "0" and I wouldn't want to be a woodchuck within 500 yards of you!! (After you adjust for the 500 yard drop, of course.)
IN PRACTICE...(I lost the above nickel bet!)...I started up the rank of calibers the other day (204 Ruger, 223 Remington, etc.), adjusting my scope per clicks/caliber as I mentioned above. The settings did keep me on a 3" target at 100 yards for each caliber, but the initial POI was off...however as I shot and the barrel warmed up, the POI started to return. My scope settings for each caliber were after sighting in and the barrel was warm. Scope settings need to be set at a cold barrel POI, which takes time, as after 3 shots with a 204 Ruger (example), the barrel is already warming up. (Zippy little cartridge!!).

I've had several fellows say they like my Package Deal, but the thought of bringing 7 calibers, all at onetime, into their 'rifle world' has them overwhelmed. (If I put myself into the buyer's shoes, I'd feel overwhelmed to.)
