Not voting will surely get the Democrat elected. I don't know if there has ever been a Pres. that is as conservative as I think is ideal. That said, I'll take a Pres. that I can agree with 60% of the time over one that I disagree with all the time. It comes down to more than the gun issue, I agree one Pres. cannot take our gun rights. Supreme court nominations will go along way toward protecting or jepordizing the 2nd amendment. The next Pres. will appoint judges. If you are lilke me, and not thrilled about going to the poles next fall, then remember this and get yourself there and vote the right way! We will have a choice between down right scary and not exactly what we wanted. don't let scary win. It maybe wishfull thinking on my part, but I think McCain, if elected will quit trying to position himself politcally, and do what is right for the country. Prior to the 2000 elections his record shows that he was much more conservative than he has been since the 2000 elections. History shows that almost all Presidents have risen above the frey, (some less than others), to do the country's bidding to the best of they're ability. As a whole McCain's record is head and shoulders above the alternative. Hold your breath, make the right vote, and pray for the winner. Steve PS There are seats in the congress that are up for grabs. Just because the media says none of them can be won by republicans, dosn't make it so. Remember 1994?
