[QUOTE="Oliveralan, post: 444521, member: 20245"] Thanks for all the positive comments and glad you enjoyed the write up, i enjoyed the hunt so much i got quite carried away writing this post, and when i finished i posted it into microsoft word and realized it's almost 1,500words... Yes using my f-class gun was pretty cool once i was in position as it is very stable and balanced right on the monopod, however the monopod slowly sunk into the mud about 8" till it hit some harder dirt since it had 14.5lb of rifle on top. Trebark, Yep great photos, thanks man! Next weekend will be LR hunting on my buddy's farm where you can see to over 2000yards. Not too bad for VA and less than an hour from home! However since I only have my .308 win set up right now i'll limit myself to between 600-900+ depending on conditions. Last time Trebark and I sat out there everything was perfect with the prevailing condition being <1 mph wind with gusts to 2, in that kind of wind I'll shoot a deer at 1k with my .308. So I'll see what happens and hopefully have another successful hunt to report back on! Good luck to everyone else, I really enjoy reading others hunting stories so please post those you have!
