I’m right handed. I was born with a cataract in my right eye. When my Dad bought me a deer rifle, he was pretty sure I’d have to learn to shoot left handed so he bought me a Remington model 760 pump action .270. Sure enough the first time I shot It right handed the scope came up and cut my eyebrow. I was 15 at the time. So I started shooting my rifle left handed. When I finally Saved enough money from my paper route to buy a shotgun, I found A like new Winchester 101 Over and Under. I paid the Man with the first 4 $100 bills I’d ever seen. After hunting with those guns for decades, I found a Remington XB40 in a .308 on Proxibid auction site. It was not new but it looked pretty nice. It is probably the best shooting gun I’ll ever own. Now I have 4 left Hand bolt action rifles. I like The fact the action opens on the other side from my face. All but one I bought Used via an auction sight unseen. They are all great shooting rifles. Moral of the story is shoot what you are comfortable with. There are great left handed rifles out there. Including AR’s.
