I’ve been around them a good portion of my life. Started out with the 300s they had in the mid to late 90s. My dad switched to an Eiger in 2004-2005 with the new CVTs and that thing sucked down the gas. My brother bought the same quad only manual and he’d go twice the distance on a tank. Then in 07-08 my dad switched back to the king quad. He’s had it ever since and it’s still on the original belt (think he has 4K miles or so on it?). And I can tell you from experience they can be rolled a few times and start right back up.lol Now me personally I have a Honda, but I wouldn’t think twice about buying a King quad. It will last just as long as any other as long as you take care of it.
