New Stainless Barrel installed by cooper. 25" fluted 9 twist.

I bought this rifle new last spring and put about 175 rounds through it. It shot very good

but seemed to foul more than desired and accuracy suffered after 30 or so rounds. I sent

it back to cooper and they replaced the barrel under warranty. There was no upcharge for

stainless so they put a new stainless barrel on it. I only took it out of the box for pics no shots fired through new barrel.

I bought a 7 Mag and no longer need this.

Price is $1975 shipped to conus from private party to FFL.
United States Post Office Money Order for payment.

Re: Cooper Excalibur 280 AI

I did a quick load work up on this rifle to see how it would shoot.
Reloder 26 Powder
CCi 200
Berger 168
Nosler Brass

Loaded 17 rounds at 58 gr
then 3 each at 58.5, 59, 59.5, 60, 60.5, 61

I shot two of the 58 load to sight in scope then cleaned the barrel

Then shot 3 of the 58 load and cleaned

Then shot 3 more of the 58 load and cleaned

Then 3 more and cleaned, no copper at this point

I then shot 3 of the 58 load over the magnetospeed for an average of 2825 fps

Then shot an OCW test, I shot these round robin with 3 minutes between each shot.
59 gr was .293 and 59.5 was .252 so I think 59.2 would be a good bet :)
