Another Savage 110 fan here. Just got my latest project back from the smith. A rebarrel using a Shilen match and a few small other things. I'm going to take a second to complai... I mean offer a word of caution. I hate that they started putting the smooth barrel nut on them. I find it's better to buy one with a slotted barrel nut. I also hate that they came out with the Axis/Edge. I think they should have stuck with the Stevens 200 and 10/110. I loved having tons of available take off parts available. Now that stuff is much harder to find. Aftermarket is still there, but OEM not as much. 12/16 Update: Finally got my 110 to the range yesterday. I took Federal Fusion 130 grain (270 Win)to try out and it shot easily under 1 MOA at 100 yards. It was windy, so there was some horizontal stringing on some groups, but overall I'm thrilled to death. Next step is to chrono to see what the SD is. My precision rifle is the same recipe - Savage action, Shilen barrel, B&C stock aluminum bedded stock. I'm vary happy with the formula!
