Recall my LTB sonn-in-law? Well he's hunting for a new area to hunt elk. Kind of like hunting to go hinting. After making a wrong turn, again, and getting low on gas, we pulled into Challis and figured breakfast was would be nice. My biscuits and gravy were pretty bland but with the 2 eggs and a sausage patty that almost covered the plate, was quite filling. Gas was nearly $3.30:rolleyes: AND it snowed almost continuously but very lightly. Passable snow @ 8500. Scary at 9k! The game count is a follows: 16 elk - on the move headed to a better place. Too many deer to count. Almost every hay field had several. Plus several on the hill. ~20 Turkey. Tried for a road kill but it was too quick. 1 Great Blue Heron - bet he wished he were still down south! 1 cock spruce grouse - think he was looking for a/the Mrs. Gave son-in-law a second look. 1 Fox Several beat up steel head - in the hatchery. A couple of pics.
