Long range scope you say? I've got 3 I'll mention. I have a couple of Bushnell 4.5 X 30s that I like a lot. One of them has been on my full custom 338 RUM for all 600 rounds. That rifle is a beast and the Bushnell just keeps on ticking. It also consistently shoots under 0.5 MOA and the 30 power helps in doing that. I've got a Viper PST 6X24 on a semi custom 260 Rem. Love that scope and have had no issues though there appears to be a significant number of people that have had issues. And I have a Leupold VX-6 3X18 on a semi custom 28 Nosler. I paid around $800 for the first 2 I mentioned and around $1,250 for the Leupold. Only the PST has exposed turrets (which makes it less compact than the other two) but it is simple to spin off the turret covers on the others. I love the pop up to zero turrets but the PST doesn't have that feature. I would not want to give up any of these scopes but if I had to choose I'd take the Leupold. No point in telling you which of them looks the best to me as they are all good enough and you should look through them all and judge for yourself.
