Again since I have no like button....I like all these new posts. Everyone seemed to know that this latest mass killer was nuts. Those that knew him don't seem to be surprised that he did it. Even our officials new of him and his problems. Political correctness froze our officials and has convinced many of our citizens that if it were not for the tool the whack job would not have hurt us. That is is ok that he is crazy, but bad that there exists a tool that he used to do us harm. These people are truly angry about the weapons and feel sorry for the evil sociopath. They think we should die because we value freedom. It is so upside down. It only makes sense that we harden the soft target that our schools are. This is a good defensive measure. By doing so we are still sitting and waiting for the next lunatic to give it a go. We really have to consider being proactive about keeping the crazy people away from the rest. It was a mistake to let them all out in the 70's. We are letting them kill us in the name of fairness or kindness. They don't need to be mistreated, but we can't risk having them free to do us harm. Also if people know that if they show psychopathic tendencies there is a good chance they will be locked up they will do a much better job of self regulating. Three hots and a cot with cable tv and a weight room for the rest of your life is not much of a deterrent. People who do heinous things to other people should be made example of in public. Hanging seems to me to be the best way that is "humane" that no one wants to have done to themselves. Bring out the gallows and have our children witness what happens to those who do bad things. We must deter those who would do us harm. This is going on offense and in my opinion as necessary as going on defense. More people die by knives than guns. I don't hear a cry for knife control or a ban of any type of knife. Simply ridiculous. You can't blame the tool. Steve
