Since my Edge is twice as accurate as my last m 700 . Both in 223 and much more reliable at chambering. Like out of 400 rounds I have had 2 failures to feed with the Edge. The model 700 averaged more than 1 failure to feed per mag load. . The trigger was easy for me to fix. I cut 2 wraps off the spring and stretched it to original length. I used a sharp knife and cut the recoil pad off at where the vents start. Made my own sling from 10 oz cow leather and mounted a bipod on it . It shoots. 25" groups at 100 yards as long as I can shoot them. I may get one in 25/06 and 243 just to try the 25/06 out And I plan to get a youth model in 223 for my wife. I'm not crazy about the magazines, and I hope Stockies or Boyd's makes a laminated thumbhole stock for them. I have the rifle with me everyday all winter which lasts 6 months here .. The groups stay small and the rifle maintains zero from 75 above to 40 below zero degrees F so far. . Yes I worry about the stock snapping off at the wrist from falling on it in the cold or dumping a snowgo. I like the trigger guards size. A heavy insulated glove fits into it without touching the trigger. But I wish it was made from steel.
