Congrats on the Savage, I've been shooting the Lapua for many years and currently have 3 rifles chambered for it (TRG-42. Custom Mark V, Savage 110BA) All shoot very well. I have never tried the 325gr bullets you mention but I do shoot the 300gr SMK. I don't see a problem with the Savage in stabilizing the 325gr bullets it should have the 1-9 twist barrel. As far as reloading for the 338 I think it is a must or you must have deep pockets otherwise. I can reload these for about $1.00 per round using Lapua brass and getting 10 firings from the brass. If you don't reload I would suggest getting started. The cheapest I have seen loaded ammo is the PPU 250gr for $52.00 per box and I've heard its junk. Enjoy the new toy!
