The one good thing about Lil'gun is it runs considerably low pressures, but with those extreme flame temps, ill pass on it. You can do some searching as well one is " the truth about Lil'gun". Other searching can include 460 S&W loads of the variants will get you some info there is a lot of info on some components and not much for the others as in the 275gr barnes and 300gr deep curls Just is not much on those for some reason. I'm just not a fan of the xtp's or the light barnes. Any more questions feel free to ask ill try to help as much as I can.
I think the weigand base fits much nicer than the warne. I see many have the warne but I do not like having that much base hanging over the barrel unsupported. The weigand just fits better in my opinion. Bullets of choice are: any of the barnes Only the xtp "mags" if it doesn't say mag then it is not appropriate for the 460. Speer deep curl (formerly gold dots just renamed) the only one suitable is the 300 grain unless you are loading the 460 to 45 long colt velocity as the other speer deep curl or gold dots will come apart at 460 velocities My choices are the 275gr barnes and the 300gr deep curls and H-110 and AA#9. I have read to stay away from the light bullets as they cause forcing cone erosion and top strap flame cutting along with the use of Lil'gun powder which has been known for really high flame temps which speed along flame cutting and cone erosion.
