In a 6.5x284 Lapua brass Fed 210M I ran 59.3 grains with a Cutting Edge 130 grain MTH(copper bullet) getting a 4 shot average of 3204 ES of 5 with a 20" barrel. I hit pressure(slight ejector mark) at 60.0 grain on the ladder from 52.5(2787fps) to 60.0(3252fps). It is a 6.5 pound gun and even with a brake it is hard to shoot, it flies off the rest and isn't fun. There is another node at 56.0 3013fps and 56.5 3019fps I will try but I'm sure I can get that with H1000 which is extremely stable. I will however try Reloder 26 with this combination in some of my heavier 6.5x284's. In the .243 Win Federal brass Fed 210M I ran up to 48.0 grains of RL26 at 3420fps with the Berger 105's. I switched over to the Cutting Edge 100 grain MTH(requires a 7 twist barrel, I hunt in a non lead state) and ran a ladder from 46.5 3241fps up to 49.5 3467fps(federal brass) settling on 47.0 at 3150fps. Winchester brass gave much lower velocity than the Federal, all other things equal. I was thinking of doing a .243 AI but with these speeds that is on hold. These are hunting loads so I'm not overly concerned about barrel and brass life(especially the WW & Federal) but pockets are ok after 2-3 firings. We are having a heat wave of 114F today and over 100 for the next few days so testing is off for a while edit; Labradar chrono
