Ok, shot the 6.5x284, went as follows - Factory Savage 110 26" tube with the on/off brake and accustock CCI 250 magnum primers 156 Berger .025" off lands Norma once fired brass, shoulder bumped .002" 57 - 2568 58 - 2564 59 - 2681 60 - 2729 61 - 2763 62 - 2891, light bolt lift, faint ejector mark 63 - 2910 heavy bolt lift, shiny ejector mark Discontinued work up I almost didn't fire the 63 grain load, as there was a MASSIVE jump from 61 to 62, and initial pressure signs showed up. Interestingly enough, as stated 61 grains was at or near 100% fill, 62 was LIGHTLY compressed, maybe like 101-103%? On another note, this seems to be a pretty slow barrel. I also did a work up with H4831sc and Retumbo (using standard cci 200 primers), initial pressure signs (bolt lift and faint ejector mark) showed up at 2726 with H4831sc, and 2815 with Retumbo. A better barrel would probably have hit initial pressure around 3000 or better I suspect, and may have a good useable load in the mid 2900 range. More load developement to come on this rifle, but that doesn't belong in this thread. Hope this helps!!
